BIRMINGHAM, Alabama, Dec. 14, 2017 –ThreatAdvice (threatadvice.com) a Birmingham, Ala.-based provider of cybersecurity education and awareness announced today that it has named Steve Hines as president of the organization. Hines is a co-founder of the company along with David Brasfield and Randy Goggans.
Hines will focus on expanding ThreatAdvice’s sales efforts across the southeast in target industries such as legal, insurance, accounting, municipalities and transportation. Additionally, he will help to oversee two new product launches in first quarter of 2018 that will augment the company’s current offerings in the cybersecurity space.
Hines has founded and overseen a number of startups as well as the angel investment firm Emergent Holdings. Prior to his involvement in ThreatAdvice, Hines accumulated 21 years of experience in the mortgage and banking industries which included the founding of a mortgage brokerage firm that he built into a large provider and sold to a financial institution where he subsequently became a senior vice president. Hines got his start as a CPA in the public accounting sector. Hines graduated with a degree in accounting from Harding University.
